This is a choreographic piece inspired by the work of Kafka, in which Nadj displays his art of creating universes, mental spaces in which the spectator can find a room, somewhere in a corner, to grumble or dream, just like the strange characters he sees onstage.

A dark atmosphere, mechanical, where elements of the set and black-hatted men intertwine, as if objects took on a soul or humans made themselves into objects, we do not know.

 

Baroque postures of bodies laid horizontally or huddled up in minuscule boxes, unbelievable swings, table-men, cloud-women, accumulation of bodies, trestles, bare lightbulbs, lifted shadows; in a village fair shed the snickering black-clad men awake the kafkaien ghosts in castles, burrows, courthouses. The whole picture suggests a clockwork mechanism gone mad.
